NYT: New Law Allows Spanish Exiles’ Descendants... →
Some 20,000 people are expected at the Spanish Consulate in Miami over the next two years to take advantage of a new Spanish law that grants full citizenship to descendants of Spanish Civil War exiles. In Cuba, where there are obviously tons of Spanish descentants, there were thousands applying a day. Another of the stories I wrote for the New York Times Student Journalism Institute.

NYT: TPS denied, Haitian illegals in deportation... →
Haitian government officials have asked the US govt to delay deportations of some 30,000 illegal Haitians until the country recovers from a catastrophic hurricane season. The US gvt said no. This story follows a woman as she awaits to be deported. It’s one of the stories I wrote for the New York Times Student Journalism Institute.
