Da Capo just released its annual best music writing anthology, which is reliably well-curated and this year includes some pleasant interwebby surprises, like a Drew Daniel post on stereogum about “Meat is Murder.” The authors also include a list of ‘other notable music writing’ at the back of the book, and my cover story on Cuban punks was very sweetly acknowledged. Check out the rest of the list because it includes CRIMINALLY under-read stories like Gus Garcia Roberts’ profile of Scott Storch (for my former employer, the Miami New Times) and Jonathan Fischer’s piece on moombahton.
